Perfect Film by Ken Jacobs 1985, is a spontaneous narrative, created from found footage shot by an unidentified cameraman at a New York television station. Nothing was done to the footage. It is an unedited reel of interviews of eye witnesses to the shooting of Malcolm X.


Blonde Cobra by Ken Jacobs 1963 Directed by Ken Jacobs, shot by Bob Flieshner, tragicomic performance by Jack Smith. Considered to be "one of the masterpieces of the New York underground film scene" by Marc Siegel in his book "1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die."

 
The End by Christopher MacLaine 1953 35 min. is one of 4 films made by MacLaine who was a beat poet in San Fransisco in the 1940's and 50's. 6 stories make up this fragmented narrative. The fear of the time was a nuclear holocaust but his characters are dealing with their own personal angst.
