12/11/13 Ann Steuernagel

Ann Steuernagel is a video and sound artist who creates work almost exclusively from found materials. Ann's work has been screened nationally and internationally. She currently teaches video production at Keene State College and resides in the far reaches of northern New Hampshire.

In addition to other new work, Ann will be representing a series of short videos from her "Talk" series. Each film is composed of a distinct set of found images set against the sounds of individuals who are speaking with severe speech impediments. These little experiments with the image/sound relationship reveal how the viewer's desire for resolution can play a powerful role in creating meaning where there is none.
